QRIS Portfolio Questions

A provider requested guidance for the questions below:

i) When staff members have foreign degrees that have not been translated and evaluated, how should the information be recorded on the professional development form?

ii) Curriculum Trainers
(1) What specific documentation is required to document that a person is qualified to present a particular training?

(2) Since local training is not being provided for most curriculum, such as Creative Curriculum, what trainings would be accepted at this time to meet the 2 and 3 star level?

i) Foreign degrees that have not been translated and evaluated do not count as a DCF staff credential
ii)There is no specific documentation required. The program should submit whatever they are able to obtain to document training and the experience of the trainer. It will be analyzed by the entire team and keeping best practices in mind a decision will be made. Input from the coach/mentor will be sought as needed to clarify.

It is understood that those degrees will not count, however, the provider would specifically like to know how to complete the form for staff members who are in this situation. Do they record the information and provide copies of what they have, or leave all the information blank?

Professional Qualifications forms should be completed for all staff showing the education they have.
