Portable Sink Options

A school would like to purchase a portable sink for a classroom that currently does not have a sink. Does it matter what type? I have seen them with the turn handles, but she found a cheaper model from Becker's School Supply, item#4261K. It states it has a hand pump for the water. Is this acceptable?

In my opinion I believe that would be fine, as long as proper health and safety procedures are followed.

Would following "proper health and safety procedures" include hand pumping the water under the ers? I just want to make sure I understand correctly. Thanks.

I saw a picture of the sink, the point with ensuring proper health and safety would be... the teacher wears gloves or washes hands after using it and then sanitizes the sink and faucet after use. I would assume the children wont be using it, and any cords/attachments need to be safely protected. It really looks fine. I would treat the pump as it were a real faucet. It's great they are making efforts for improvements!

I would also have them check with their licensing monitor, for the local answer.
