Displays
A teacher uses a tri-fold board as a teaching board during circle time then displays it on a bulletin board (3 1/2 feet above the ground) for the remainder of the day due to lack of space. Would this be acceptable or count against him/her?
I think more clarity is needed here. What area are you exactly inquiring about? Safety? use of language materials? In itself, it should be fine as long as it doesn't have the potential of falling.
The tri-fold board has the days of the week, calendar, alphabet, etc. There is no place near circle area to keep the board open where the students can see it (Something the teacher would like to do). With regard to area, are you referring to subscale item or category? If so, I would say display of materials.
If it is not a safety issue, it would be counted as a displayed item. But it most likely would not add to "much of display done by children" or "representing children." It could also count toward one instance of "daily events used to promote math/number."
