Alternative Sanitizers
One of the staff members is allergic to bleach and is unable to use it has a sanitizer. The school currently only has her use the soapy water solution, while the other staff members in the room are responsible for anything that requires the bleach solution. Are there alternative sanitizers that are approved by licensing AND the ERS (Environmental Rating Scales)? If so, what are they?

If bleach/water solution is not used, a hospital grade sanitizer may be used in it's place, as per "Caring for Our Children." Store bought sanitizing agents such as Clorox disinfecting wipes are not hospital grade and therefore are not acceptable substitutes. Any substitute sanitizer must be used appropriately according to it's written directions for use. In the event that substitutes for bleach/water solution are used, assessors will examine the bottle to ensure that the product is being used appropriately. Please check with licensing monitors to ensure that any substitute sanitizing agent is acceptable as per licensing regulations.
