A coach asks a portfolio preparation question:
In section 4.4 Curriculum, Star 2, page 12 of manual, what is the correct number of "lesson plans for three months that highlight each curriculum for all ages?" That is, does each classroom have to include 3 months of lesson plans? That would be 12 lesson plans per class. If so, does this number of lesson plans remain the same for Star 4 A and Star 5 (page 13 in manual)? Or, perhaps the intent was for lesson plans that are current, i.e. used within the last three months of submitting the portfolio. Please advise. Thanks.

In the portfolio we would like to see a sample lesson plan for each age group. During the onsite visit we will verify that similar lesson plans exist going back at least 3 months, so we know the sample wasn't created just to provide documentation, but that it represents what is really used at the facility.

In the curriculum notes that were sent from the 8/21/08 meeting, it stated 6 weeks for each classroom for review. Based on your post above, it is now one lesson plan per classroom for the portfolio; with the remaining 3 months worth to be checked on-site. Do I understand this correctly? Thanks for the clarification.
