Diapering Procedure
Please be aware that although the Environment Rating Scales don't require the use of gloves while diapering, Broward County Licensing DOES require the use of gloves.
The primary confusion seems to be, "When to take off the gloves?" Gloves should be removed after cleaning the "soiled skin area", and most importantnly, BEFORE touching the clean diaper. Also, a wipe must be used on the teacher's hands and on the child's hands before touching the clean diaper. I am looking forward to seeing this implemented!
