Space between Cribs

If there is space between the cribs, is it possible for a teacher to place an unused piece of equipment, such as a bouncy seat, in between the cribs, until it is used? The idea is too create more more floor space while the children are awake.
Please provide the details as to where the clarification can be found in the "All About the ITERS-R" book.

Using gloves while feeeding infants

I'm looking for clarification regarding the use of gloves and bottle feeding an infant. The school is currently required to wear gloves only when the bottle contains breast milk. Upon a quick review of the "All About the ITERS-R" with the director, we were unable to find out if gloves must be worn at all times for bottle feeding, only with breast milk, or not required if hands are washed prior to feeding. Please inidcate where this is speciffically addressed so it can be shared with the school's corporate office. Thanks.

FYI: artificial turf as protective surfacing on playgrounds.

Please see below the email I wrote to the FPG Institute in North Carolina regarding artificial turf as protective surfacing and the response that I received.

Hi Paula,

If you are not able to measure the protecting surfacing, you need to verify, through a written statement from the manufacturer, that the materials meet the ASTM F1292 requirements. The center should have this information.
Thank you,
Elisa

I have come across child care facilities that use artificial turf as their playground surfacing, but there is usually no way to determine or measure what is beneath it. How should I handle this?

Can CDC-10 be used to clean tables, etc. in the classrooms?

Crock pot temp

What should the temperature read in the crock pot being used in the Infant rooms? Thanks!

Mobiles/Hanging objects

Some centers have security systems that go off when anything is hanging. How is this addressed on the ITERS (#5)?
