A provider requested information on the following:
i) Full Rating Calculations
(1) After review the QRIS Manual, a provider has requested a sample of how they calculations are done. If possible, please post a sample, with numbers, of how the calculations are done. The coach didn’t want to compute a sample incorrectly.
ii) Will the assessors be at the exit interview?

The scoring system is in the manual on pp.6-7.
ReplyDeleteBasically, take the overall level score achieved for each domain and multiply by:
2X(ITERS level), 2X(ECERS level), 2X(Prof Q. level), 1X(RGS level), 1.5X(Curr. level), .75X(FE level), and .75X(PA level).
Add these numbers together to get the total "Star points." Then add in any Bonus points.
Remeber, the ERS Scores (classroom observations) won't be completed until after the portfolio is turned in.

I think we will be discussing that at the meeting on the 12th. With only 2 full-time assessors, Beleta and I have very little time to spend outside of classrooms. Except in the afternoon on the first Thursday of every month, after the CCLE staff meetings.
